5 Basic Makeup Essentials to use in your Morning Routine

I WOKE UP LIKE THIS...…Not!!!! Every morning when my alarm decides to serenade me, I stumble out of bed with maybe 25 minutes to spare. After my shower and a bomb fruit smoothie, I realize that I have just 10 minutes to do a light beat to my face. Sugar, we've all been there. Stumbling around through our makeup cases trying to prepare a look for the day. Did you know that with just a few essentials, you could save time by having a neutral look to match any outfit? I like to call this "daytime glam".
First, I have to mention the fact that it's always good to begin with a fresh face. Start the day with using a cleanser that works best for your skin type and also, don't forget to moisturize. Now that I have a fresh canvas, it's time to go in with concealer. If I was stranded on some random island and could only choose one item to use for makeup, it would definitely be my concealer.
The brand that I use is LA Girl which has a creamy consistency and is full coverage. It also comes in a variety of shades and/or colors. Thus far, my favs are toffee, orange (corrector) and also yellow (corrector). My concealer is mostly used to brighten up my under eye area; under my eyebrows; and to cover and correct some blemishes. Foundation is up next.
I always say that my foundation is the big sister to my concealer because it does some of the same things but, it covers more terrain around my face. I am currently using my Born this Way foundation by Too Faced Cosmetics and I wear the shade Chestnut. This foundation is very buildable and blends very well with my skin.
I'm also a strong believer that there's nothing wrong with playing up your eye makeup in the morning. The eyeshadow palette that I'm currently digging is the Morphe 350M Nature Glow Matte Eyeshadow Palette. I'm a neutral girl in the daytime and boy is this thing loaded with neutral shades. If you want to spice things up a little...they also have included a few shimmery shades. I have to confess that I've already hit pan on the only matte brown shade in the palette.
Last but not least, I like to add a little liner to my lids. I prefer a liquid liner which allows me to have a nice thin line. If you are feeling a little bold...you can always wing out your liner to add some edge during the day. Mascara seals the deal by making your neutral look pop!!! I love anything from Benefit Cosmetics but what I'm currently using is the They're Real Mascara by Benefit.
Lip gloss anyone? To polish off your look, I recommend adding the lippie of your choice. I'm not a fussy girl so, most days I just pile on some Carmex and hit the road.
