Amaze Your Scalp: Our Top 3 Brands for Natural Hair

Natural hair is not a fade nor is it just a trend that has suddenly popped up out of nowhere. For years the struggle has truly been real for many African American women and girls such as myself when it comes to finding products to nourish our hair. There is a lonely feeling that sets in when you look on store shelves for products but none of them represent you or your needs.

In recent years however, I can proudly say that things have begun to change. When I walk into my local drugstore I am seeing some AMAZING brands of hair care products that are not only targeted towards my hair but are also owned by African American women.

If you’ve read this far, I know you want to know more. Keep reading to find out our top 3 picks of natural hair brands.

Design Essentials

(Product not pictured here)

The Design Essentials Brand has always been a game changer since the brand launched in 1990. Their products smell amazing and are known to purify the scalp. With their vast product line it is easy to become overwhelmed when trying to decide which one item to purchase.

There are shampoos, conditioners, and scalp treatments that are all infused with vitamins and natural herbs. Did we also mention that when shopping on their site, you can search by curl pattern to find products specifically for your hair type? Sis, click the link above and you’ll be hooked too.

Camille Rose

(Product not pictured here)

If you haven’t seen their familiar logo with the beautiful lady who has a bun in her hair complete with a rose, take a look at the link above. Camille Rose products have been gracing store shelves since 2012 and is showing no signs of slowing down. Not only does this brand offer popular hair care items, but bath and body items as well.

A simple search on their website will reveal their popular conditioners, serums, and even candles. Our favorite go to is their Sweet Ginger Cleansing Rinse from their signature collection. Snag this now and thank us later. If you can find it.

Miss Jessie's

(Product not pictured here)

Miss Jessie’s products have been blowing our minds since 2004. Their complete line of shampoos, custards, and creams has our tresses feeling so soft and so clean after every use. They also make sure to have just about every hair type covered.

From wavy to kinky and tightly coiled, there’s a product for you. Can we also throw in that these products smell absolutely amazing!!!

There are so many brands that sell products for natural hair that definitely deserve a shout out. This definitely will not be our only list. We provided links to each product in this post however, we must mention that you can also pick them up in stores where ever beauty products are sold.

Let us know in the comments which brands are your absolute favs. 💜
