It's So Hard to say Good "Buy". Are Shopping Malls a thing of the Past?

"Strip malls are history." ~ Jeff Bezos

In this age of technology, I think it's safe to say that people are spending more time scrolling online shops than strolling in stores.

The ease of sitting in the comfort of your own home while being able to window shop at your favorite retail store has been game changing. The results of having the capability to shop at your own leisure has been pleasing to a lot of consumers however, it has also come with a downside.

If you have been out to your favorite mall may have noticed a few changes. There have been a slew of big retailers who have filed for bankruptcy in recent years which have caused some to close almost half of their retail stores across the country. For others, their financial woes have pushed them to go out of business completely. This years corona virus pandemic only adds to the growing pain within the retail industry. With the continuous trends of unemployment and economic uncertainty, more huge retailers are having to skate on thin ice.

Don't worry, this is not a doom and gloom article about the economy. We are seeing enough of that on CNN.

We come baring good news. There are tons of new small businesses popping up online and as a consumer, we're always looking for items that are unique and trendy. There are also some tried and true favorites that within this new normal has provided us with everything from household essentials to music and movies. If you are still clueless on what we are talking about, where have you been? in our opinion has been leading the way of the new retail/consumer experience.

During the pandemic, Amazon has been our lifeline. When we couldn't go to the salons, we were able to buy much needed equipment for our hair and nails. If you haven't shopped on Amazon before, we caution you to be careful because it is now one of our obsessions. Among Amazon, we have a slew of other online retailers that are our absolute favs to shop from. Take a look at the list below and let us know in the comments which one is your favorite?

Etsy - An online retail site where you can by and sell homemade crafts and other goods. You can find a lot of creativity on this site. There are even shop owners who will customize things for you. The biggest thing going right now are masks. Sis, log on this site and you’ll find so many cute variations to stock up on.

They have designers such as Louis Vuitton; Chanel; and Gucci. In addition to shopping the site for designer bags, you can also become a seller with them as well. (See their site for details)

SavagexFenty - Whether you're just chillin with bae or you just want to add more items to your lingerie collection, Savage X Fenty is our go to. Rihanna has done it again with her line of stylish lingerie.
