This year we have been clearing space physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. Making room for things that truly matter in our lives. So much has happened in the past three years and honestly, changes have been made and are forth coming. This is one list we could go on and on about. Here are a few things we no longer care about when it comes to living our every day lives.
Literally, everyone has one much like everyone has a you know what. When it comes to opinions, they are just that. Just a combination of some factual information mixed with personal thought. Just because someone may have an opinion on something, it does not make it true. Live in your own truth! Despite what someone may think or say about it. You only have one life and it belongs to you. Make of it what you will and you will be much happier living according to your standards.
We cannot remember the last time we longed to be the center of attention. There is so much self discovery in solitude. You can find out so much about yourself, just by taking time to be alone and truly get to know yourself. You will then find things that you life and dislike about who you are. You'll discover the things you want to change and the things you would want to enhance. When you know who you truly are, you will no longer be concerned with being liked because you already love yourself. You will become more selective about who you want in your space and because you love yourself enough to not disturb your own peace.
Giving My Life To Work
There is a quote by Hillary Clinton that says "never confuse having a career, with having a life." Sometimes it is very easy to get caught up with the hustle and bustle of work, that we oftentimes for get to actually live. A career is great but if you become ill or pass away, there will be someone to replace you. If you are an entrepreneur, your life's work will wither away and you business will become forgotten about. Work is an essential part of life but we am not dedicating our lives to just work and work alone. Unplug, unwind, and relax your mind, body, and soul. Work will always be there when you get back.
Dressing to Impress
We absolutely love clothes like the next person but when all the new trends and fast fashions that come out every week, it's hard to stand out in the crowd. There was once a time we wanted to stand out and wow the crowd. Now, we are all for dressing according to our own standards and owning our personal style. Gone are the days where we had to fit in to survive. Honestly, it seems as if theres so many trends moving at one time, that it should be easy to define your own personal style and still stand out in your own way.
Lying about what I really want
As mentioned above, solitude definitely has a way to help put you on the road to self discovery. Once you find out who you are and what you want, you will no longer compromise on the things you truly want to see happen in your life. If you are an introvert, you will no longer force yourself to be something you are not. If you do not like the field of work you are in, you will no longer keep yourself trapped in an unfulfilling position. We will no longer compromise our spirit and happiness just to make someone else smile.
We could go on and on about the things we have learned and decided to change when it comes to becoming a better version of ourselves. What are some things you have learned and you no longer care about? Leave a comment below and let us know your thoughts!
