In the words of one of my favorite artists (Victoria Monet), "life is just a dream that you're manifesting slowly." I truly believe life is just that. The mind is such a powerful tool. You are what you believe yourself to be. I know it might sound cliché but there is some truth to believing turning into reality. So if we are into the art of manifestation, lets manifest a different mindset for 2021 and beyond.
The first step to upgrading your mindset is with affirmations. Affirmations are words that you say out loud that motivate and move your mind in a positive direction. For example, telling yourself everyday that today will be a good day, helps you to turn any negativity from the day into a positive outlook. Does this mean bad things won't affect your day? Of course not but it puts your mind in what I like to call silver lining mode. You will be able to find the silver lining in a bad situation and thus not be moved from being centered.
Use words or phrases of affirmation in the morning or before you go to bed at night. Say them out loud at least 3 times. By saying them over and over, the words slowly sink into your mind creating positive change in your thoughts and changing your life. It prevents you from self sabotage in a lot of situations. Just a simple "you can do this" has power.
In order to breathe the positive affirmations in, you have to release negativity. Kind of like how our lungs breath in oxygen and releases carbon dioxide. I like to do this through meditation. If you are like me, I am an over thinker and I over analyze situations which builds more thoughts on top of that. This gives me major anxiety. Meditation helps me to clear my mind when I get ready for the day or when I end the day. I leave the day's thoughts and worries in that day. This creates room for my positive thinking.
Meditation allows me the opportunity to relax my mind, body, and soul all the while putting
me back into alignment. Its helps to release stress, helps you to focus, and it improves your self esteem. The more you are able to focus, the more you are able to make sound decisions and not just act off impulse. This is especially good if you are wanting to start a business or make changes in your current business. It helps you to process information better which can be helpful with your communication skills. This is also helpful in relationships or situations where you need to hear someone out about their feelings. Therefore you are responding from the heart and not just out of emotions.
Now back to the beginning where we talked about manifestation. Manifestation is like the law of attraction. If you think it, you see it. If you see it, you believe it. If you believe, it becomes a reality. Whatever energy you are giving off is returning to you. So if you exude and/or become the energy you want to attract, you will attract it. However, you also have to do the work. By it being real in your mind, you will make it real in your life. Making sense?! You will become more motivated to make these changes into your reality. Manifestation is not just tangible things either. You can manifest being a better friend, a better partner, and being happy. All of which are things that start with the mind.
You cannot control what happens around you but you can control your mind and your body's response. Align yourself and take control over you. Be the light and the change you want to see become a reality in your life.
